There is a very convenient feature built in to Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010 called " Email Address Auto Complete ". This feature gives you the ability to enter the first letter or 2 of a users name and select the address you'd like via a drop-down.
Seen here:
This tool is pretty cool, but you will most likely find yourself having to remove e-mail addresses as people change theirs, change jobs, etc.
Suggestion #1:
To delete a particular cached email address from the list you do the following:
- Open a new message, type the email address you wish to clear from cache until it appears like in the image above.
- Press the down arrow key, highlight the address you'd like to delete, and press the delete key.
- Finished ! That entry will now no longer be in your Outlook Auto Complete Cache.
Suggestion #2:
IMPORTANT NOTE: This will delete ALL addresses stored in cache so either use with caution or only when you'd like to delete ALL addresses
1. Close Outlook
2. Navigate to:
- Start > Run > type in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook and press enter
- Navigate to the above location via Windows Explorer: C:\Documents and Settings\
\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook - Open Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer and type %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook in the address bar (shown below).
3. Delete the Outlook.nk2 file.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This will delete ALL addresses stored in cache so either use with caution or only when you'd like to delete ALL addresses
