avp.exe eating up memory

avp.exe eating up memory

Hi, I recently purchased and installed kaspersky.. I've never had a problem with it till now, and it looks like avp.exe is eating memory.. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still avp.exe is still hovering around 90% - 95%.

I am running on an old Gateway machine with about 1 GB or RAM - XP pro - service pack 3.

not sure what the problem is. When was the last time you did a full format and reinstallation of xp?

Do you have Application Intergrity Control enabled in Proactive Defence? If so disable it and see what happens.

Hey bud, not sure if you resolved this or not, but it's probably just some settings that need to be tweaked. Also, if you can, run HijackThis and post the log. If you need steps to get to HJT, let me know.
