    Default Hard drive help

    hey everyone,

    Is there a way where i can have my sata hard drive used primarily for windows only and then have another drive that i can put everything else on and load off of? (games/music/pictures etc)

    Ya you can, Ive seen people use like ~30Gb SSD's for OS and regular HD's for storage etc. If I had time right now I would look it up for you but I have limited time right now, I can later tonight tho. Do a google search and you can come up with some results I bet.

    If you are trying to do a performance build regarding hardrives.. and you really want a "windows only" drive.. you should do this:
    Windows Drive = fast
    Game File Drive = fast
    Storage Drive = Larger/Slower

    One other thing if you are concerned about gaming performance.. you should consider just having 2 computers 1 for gaming, 1 for everything else.

    this is good advice, and typically how we setup our machines.

    Windows on 1 drive, and other data on 1 or more drives :P
