So, I just ordered the CM Haf 932 Blue. Worth the extra buck cause it's so damn sexy looking. I also will get to use my brother-in-law-in-law's torch and cut part of my desk off to fit the beast under it (Actually, it just unscrews, but I like to dream).
shankers has the haf 932 and he loves it. cable management is not even going to be a problem at all. i posted my pictures of my rig over at NoobGalore Gaming Community and as you can see. There was not many cables showing. The tooless bay for the hard drives is awesome as well. The screws for the cards such as the gpu, sound card, wireless card etc. they are large screws so you don't even need a screw driver to put them in. All you need is your fingers. Good choice man. Can't wait to see pictures of it when its all done
Absolutely. And AMD is supposedly unveiling the Bulldozer lineup tomorrow (just from what I read online, that may not be accurate).
Excited to get everything going. Any input on HDDs? WD and Seagate both seem to have good quality products but problems with reliability. It seems whenever I find a good one, the feedback is 50/50. I've always used Seagate, but only with external drives.
Anyways, I should be getting the case within the week, will upload pictures.
Bought a HIS Radeon HD 6870 and a CM Silent Pro Gold 800W from a local specialty place. The Bulldozer was pushed back to the week of the 20th, and the Llano should be out early July. I should have it done in September when I get back from vacation. Awesomesauce, thanks for your help so far everyone.
Well, the fateful day has come when AMD unleashed the Bulldozer on the world. Unfortunately, it is awful (at least the 8150 I was hoping to get is).
So I'm gonna go with the tried and true (and cheap) Phenom X4 965 later this week. What a waste of 4 months, waiting and waiting for this breakthrough in computing, just to have it be junky.
I finished my build (quite a while ago actually, just forgotten to post about it. I actually already made a boo-boo. I put Windows on my larger, slower hdd because for some reason it didn't detect my other one. Then it turns out a SATA was just not plugged in all the way, and I find out I actually set the wrong one as my primary. Live and learn, I guess.
And even still, it boots faster than my "high-powered gaming" laptop.
Very nice Dinky! I hope it performs well for ya!
